MECHANICAL MOTORHOME SERVICING
You should get your motorhome serviced every year to keep it in good condition and help it to last longer. It’s also important because it validates the warranty in most cases.
If you want to get your motorhome serviced, simply bring it along to our state-of-the-art workshop where we can carry out a wide range of services to keep it in top condition, including oil and filter changes, diagnostic reports and anything else it needs.
We have an MOT bay, six ramps, a full diagnostic suite and much more so you know your motorhome is getting the comprehensive servicing it needs.
You need to get your motorhome MOT every year if you have a motorhome that is over three years old, otherwise your insurance and road tax can become invalidated. An MOT is also important to ensure your motorhome is roadworthy and to give you peace of mind.
We will carry out a detailed inspection of your motorhome to make sure it is in good condition. This will include a full range of safety checks, and we will categorise any parts that are not up to standard.
There are different motorhome classifications to consider. Class 4 is for motorhomes up to 3.5 tonnes, while Class 7 is for motorhomes for over 3.5 tonnes. They are both similar, but the tests are more detailed for larger motorhomes.
We’ve got all the facilities to get your motorhome into shape, including four post ramps and a floor-mounted rolling road to check the efficiency of brakes. We’ll also check your lights, brake lights, tyre tread, wheels, seats and more.
MOTORHOME HABITATION SERVICE
We can provide a complete motorhome habitation service to help ensure your motorhome stays in perfect condition and to preserve its warranty.
This service is an annual check to keep your motorhome in great condition for your upcoming trips. A good time to get the habitation service is before the summer when you are most likely to be planning your trips.
This service will highlight performance and safety problems and get them fixed so you know your motorhome is in great condition. It can also help to retain your motorhome’s value, so it’s well worth arranging.
There are lots of areas covered in the habitation service, and some of the main checks include a fire safety check, including the smoke alarm, CO detector, fire extinguisher and fire blanket.
The gas, water and electrical systems are all checked too, and we’ll inspect the bodywork and check over the doors, windows and blinds, as well as carrying out a damp check to make sure everything is in order.
MOTORHOME ACCESSORY FITTING
We can fit a wide range of motorhome accessories to your vehicle for all makes and models. Motorhomes are more luxurious than ever these days, and you may want to add accessories to your motorhome to make it even more comfortable or to personalise it.
Our motorhome mechanics will quickly upgrade your motorhome with a wide range of accessories that you can choose from.
We can install dash cams, reversing cameras, alarm systems, vehicle trackers, air conditioning, heating, WiFi, fridges and freezers, aerials, awnings and more, so just let us know what you need and we’ll do the rest.
Our workshop is in the Approved Workshop Scheme (AWS) to give you even more peace of mind. This is a scheme that’s run by the National Caravan Council (NCC) along with both the Camping and Caravanning Club and the Caravan Club.
All workshops in the scheme have to meet strict criteria and pass an annual inspection by independent assessors. To be in the scheme, we need to clearly display our pricing, always provide an estimate for additional repair work over £150, use only genuine spare parts where possible, and more.
The scheme makes it easier for motorhome owners to find a workshop that they know meets the high standards they expect, so you know that your motorhome will be in safe hands when you bring it along to our workshop.
